Right click on the 'My Computer' icon and choose the bottom item: Properties
On the 'General' tab (which is the default first tab you see) you should see
System: "System type"
For example System: Microsoft Windows XP or
System: Home Edition
So, select this operating system from the dropdown.
How much memory does my computer have?
This refers to the amount of RAM rather than hard disc space your computer has Follow these steps:
Go to your desktop by clicking on it
Right click on the 'My Computer' icon and choose the bottom item: Properties
On the 'General' tab (which is the default first tab you see) you should see
underneath the system and registration details, some details which will look something like:
1.00 GB of RAM It is this figure we need to know.
So, select this amount of RAM from the dropdown.
